Primary school workshops

Our primary school workshops are designed to support schools and to help teachers feel comfortable and positive about delivering a quality programme of sex and relationships education.

Lessons are designed using guidance from the PSHE Association and Sex Education Forum ensuring lessons are age appropriate and meet the suggested learning outcomes for key stages one and two.

We have 12 engaging workshops specifically designed for primary school children.

Each of our primary school workshops are planned for 90 or 120 minutes working with a whole year group, with each booking, schools will receive: a letter to parents template, and a pre- and post- workshop activity.

Bespoke workshops can also be booked and we can work with smaller or larger groups.

We can provide consultancy to help you plan your schools programme of SRE and provide in house training for staff delivering the lessons. We offer a range of engaging workshops for parent’s including: online safety and Teenology: our talking to children about growing up talk.

Primary School Workshops

Years 1 and 2 (45mins) Years 3 and 4 (90mins) Years 5 and 6 (120mins)
Our workshops for years 1 and 2 use stories books, colouring pages, and lots of fun games. We learn about our bodies, naming the body parts and talk about how to keep ourselves safe. We talk about our feelings and learn who we can talk to when we need help. In years 3 and 4 we start to explore relationships and touch, about the differences and similarities between boys and girls, being safe online and about different families. Games, discussions, PPT displays and worksheets are used. Our year 5 & 6 workshops cover the aspects of growing up, including the physical and emotional changes that may happen. The workshop covers relationships, bullying, online safety, consent, puberty, periods and human reproduction.
