Our workshop provides a fun and engaging learning opportunity that supports young people to develop a better understanding of consent (using Pizza!!).
Our delivery focuses on the development of consent communication skills, using fun(ny) learning activities which help students accurately interpret both verbal and non-verbal communication and also consider strategies for managing manipulation/vulnerability and risk.
Key aspects of the law relating to sex is taught including the age of consent and what consent looks like. Sexual assault, harassment and victim blaming is also explored.
39% of people aged 14-17 think it is NOT ok to withdraw consent once naked. Many are learning what they know about sexual consent from TV and film, rather than a trusted source on sexual health and relationships education.
In 2016 the government inquiry into sexual harassment in schools found almost a third of 16-18-year-old girls say they have experienced unwanted sexual touching at school
