Did you know that 1 in 4 girls start their periods before the subject is covered in sex and relationships education classes at school?
Almost 15% of young people said they were taught nothing at school about menstruation.
SRE workshops for primary schools – Boys and girls are encouraged to take part in our puberty and period workshop. This fun and informative workshop covers the naming and understanding the body of the reproductive parts and teaches children about the changes which may happen during puberty.
We answer any questions or worries children may have about their changing bodies and growing up. Periods can be confusing or even alarming for girls if they are not prepared. The basics of the menstrual cycle and different forms of period management are explored working to reduce the stigma surrounding periods.
