WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE FOR KS3/KS4/KS5
DURATION: up to 60 MINS or Drop Down Day (6 x 1-hour workshops)
Among women aged 16-49, the lowest levels of contraceptive use are found in the 16-19 year olds. Two thirds of heterosexual 16-19 year olds are ‘at risk’ of pregnancy
The workshop uses the contraceptive display kit to teach young people about the contraceptive choices available. Young people will learn which methods of contraception protect against both unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections and where to access further advice and information.
The workshop explores the barriers which may prevent young people from accessing information about contraceptives, or attending sexual health services.
